Between cozy sweaters, beautiful foliage, hearty recipes, and fun family traditions, the fall season is a favorite amongst many so at Chatham Park, we ensure our residents are surrounded with opportunities to enjoy the autumn season.  Here are a few of our favorite fall-themed activities taking place in and nearby our 7,068-acre master-planned community located just outside of Raleigh in Pittsboro, North Carolina:

Phillips Farm of Chatham
Nothing says the beginning of fall like pumpkins! Whether you want to carve, decorate with, or eat them, pumpkins are the perfect way to start the season. Support local by visiting Phillips Farm of Chatham – open every day from now through Halloween – and picking your perfect gourd! (Keep this venue in mind for your Christmas tree needs as they start selling their beautiful Fraser Firs the weekend after Thanksgiving.)

Huckleberry Trail Farm
Reminisce on those childhood memories of hayrides and corn mazes when you discover the Huckleberry Trail Farm Festival. This year’s festival will last through the month of October and marks the 10-year anniversary of Huckleberry Trail Farm in Siler City. With our cotton patch, Field of Dreams, and special scavenger hunt – scheduled for Education Day on October 29th– you are sure to find something to entertain the different generations of your family. Admissions tickets are available for purchase online, and the festival is open on the weekends (Saturday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.).

For Garden’s Sake
Plant lovers can unwind at For Garden’s Sake (FGS) and take advantage of seasonal workshops including Fall Floral Arrangements, Preparing Your Houseplants for Winter, and How to Create “Spooky” Floral Arrangements. This nursery and landscaper offers an array of workshops, classes, and live music sessions at their gorgeous venue off Hwy 751. FGS has goats, a fall-decorated vintage truck (great for photo-ops!), and Potting Shed for refreshments (including mimosas!).
