With the first day of summer right around the corner, we are gearing up for a season of fun in Chatham Park. Our scenic Pittsboro community is home to abundant natural beauty, including rivers, creeks, and plenty of open green space. So, whether you are looking to try a new hike, catch some rays, or brush up on your athletic abilities while connecting with friends and neighbors, Chatham Park offers all you could want – and more. Here’s everything you’ll need for the ultimate summer of outdoor discovery.

A Swimsuit for Paddles Swim and Pickleball
Make sure you pack a swimsuit and a towel for this one! Competitive and leisure swimmers alike will love our private Swim & Pickleball club. Our six-lane competition-style pool is amazing for getting in those morning laps, and kids will love zipping down our big blue pool slide. Want to take it easy? Bask in some vitamin D on one of our comfortable pool chairs, grab a snack from the nearby concession stand, or bring your little ones for a splash in the kiddie pool. Memberships are available for residents and non-residents, so make sure Paddles Swim & Pickleball Club is on your list this summer.

A Pickleball & Paddle for Paddles Swim and Pickleball
We’ve got you covered if you’re ready to dust off your pickleball paddle and get your competition on. Paddles Swim and Pickleball in Chatham Park features eight pickleball courts. For those who prefer a night match, we have good news! Four of our courts feature lights for ultimate evening visibility. Hungry after your sporting session? Grab a snack at our concession stand and fuel up for the next round. Afterward, take a load off and relax in the pool – you’ve earned it!

A Picnic Basket for Knight Farm Community Park
Spread out across 10 acres, Knight Farm Community Park located in Vineyards at Chatham Park has everything you need for a day of fun, so pack a picnic basket and some sunscreen! While the park features a whimsical playhouse and a dragon-shaped climbing gym, the area also offers a nature-inspired option for creative play – a natural playground with tree trunk balance beams and rock gardens. Plus, there is a multi-use field for sports and a splash pad for your littles ones to enjoy during the warmest summer days. In addition, visitors can stroll on the walking path that spans the perimeter of the park or retreat from the sun under the covered pavilion with a picnic table lunch!

Walking Shoes for Jordan Lake State Park or Haw River State Park
The more adventurous souls will want to make sure this one is on their summer bucket list! Lace on your most trusted tennis shoes or hiking boots because Jordan Lake State Park has 15 miles of beautiful hiking you won’t want to miss. The area is also great for pitching a tent, paddling down the river, reeling in a fish, and spotting a bald eagle. Jordan Lake State Park Visitor Center is just 15 minutes from Chatham Park.

Additionally, the Lower Haw River is a fun excursion just 10 minutes from Chatham Park! Visitors can access the Lower Haw River to canoe or kayak from multiple points including the Bynum Beach Canoe Access, the Robeson Creek Canoe Access, and others. A little over an hour away from Chatham Park, you can journey into the wetlands at Haw River State Park. Venture onto the boardwalk surrounded by swamps, try your luck at a round of disc golf, and cap off a great summer day with a delicious sunset picnic. Whether you’re looking to spend a whole day out, or just an afternoon, there are options for all!

Lawn Chairs for Outdoor Events at MOSAIC at Chatham Park
