New Year, New Routines: Living Well and Staying Active at Chatham Park

A new year is the perfect time to reset routines and focus on feeling your best and at Chatham Park, staying active isn’t something you have to plan around. It’s as simple as stepping outside, meeting a neighbor on the trail, or fitting in a workout between everyday moments. Guided by Healthy Balance, one of Chatham Park’s core pillars, the community is intentionally designed to support wellness, movement, and quality of life at every stage of life.

With walkable destinations, thoughtfully designed fitness spaces, and outdoor experiences woven throughout the community, it’s easy to build healthy habits that feel natural, sustainable, and rewarding—whether that’s a morning workout, an evening walk, or a weekend spent moving together.

The Chatham Park YMCA

For many residents, wellness starts with structured routines and shared community energy—and the Chatham Park YMCA brings that to life in the heart of NoVi. Designed to serve all ages, the YMCA offers modern fitness equipment, group exercise classes, outdoor pools, youth programs, and wellness opportunities, making it easy to prioritize health close to home.

Fun fact: Just 30 minutes of moderate exercise a day, like a class, swim, or brisk walk, can boost energy, improve mood, and support long-term health. Having the YMCA steps from home makes consistency that much easier.

Looking ahead: With spring right around the corner, now’s a great time to start building endurance for one of the community’s most festive traditions—the YMCA Leprechaun Dash 5K/10K on Saturday, March 14. Whether you’re running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, a little January training goes a long way.

Paddles Swim & Pickleball Club adds a social dimension to wellness at Chatham Park, creating a place where neighbors connect through movement. With swimming and pickleball at its core, Paddles reinforces the idea that fitness and community go hand in hand.

New this year: Paddles now offers pickleball-only membership options, providing more flexibility for those who want to spend more time on the courts.

Did you know? Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country and a fun way to improve agility, coordination, and cardiovascular health while sharing a laugh with friends.

Trails & Greenways

For many residents, the simplest routines are the ones outdoors. Trails and greenways play a key role in supporting Healthy Balance at Chatham Park, offering space to move, explore, and unwind in nature. Residents can currently enjoy more than five miles of completed greenways, thoughtfully designed to connect neighborhoods, schools, and open spaces throughout the community.

When complete, over 30 miles of trails and greenways are planned—supporting walkability, recreation, and everyday movement as Chatham Park continues to evolve. Whether it’s a peaceful morning walk, a family bike ride, or a chance encounter with a neighbor, these connected paths reflect the intentional design behind the community.
