January is known for bringing a fresh start, new goals, and renewed inspiration, and this certainly holds true for Chatham Park and the greater community of Pittsboro. We’re already buzzing with anticipation for the upcoming months! From the imminent debut of Chatham County’s first business hotel to the ever-growing Northwood Landing and MOSAIC openings, there are a wealth of developments on the horizon in 2024.

In this blog post, we will explore what you can expect this year and offer a glimpse into what’s beyond. Get ready for an amazing year with us!

Ahead in 2024
The long-awaited People’s Coffee in MOSAIC at Chatham Park opened its doors at the end of 2023 to offer a special lunch menu and dine-in and take-out options for coffee, bakery treats, and more.

From there, our countdowns have begun to the remainder of openings slated throughout 2024! Amazing Explorers Academy located in Vineyards at Chatham Park will open this winter to provide students with an exceptional and well-rounded education. The Academy is pioneering the STEAM curriculum for young minds from six weeks old to 12 years old to develop lifelong learning skills.

Joining the roster of MOSAIC newcomers is Triangle Family Dentistry, specializing in the latest techniques in dentistry. This will mark their seventh location in the Triangle and allow their talented team to serve many more local families.

MOSAIC at Chatham Park’s scheduled spring openings also include Hops & Berry Taproom and O’YA Cantina – both set to contribute to the diverse offerings available in the mixed-use development. This summer, MOSAIC will welcome Hampton Inn & Suites, the 78,500-square-foot building with 120 rooms that will serve as Chatham County’s first business hotel.

Northwood Landing will grow by four businesses in 2024, with plenty of recent buzz thanks to the Haw River Animal Hospital ribbon cutting and grand opening in early December. The hospital offers exceptional veterinary services, care, and support to the furry friends of our community. In the next few months, Hubie’s Car Wash Express, Zaxby’s, and a Next Generation Dunkin’ – with a modern design, energy efficiency capabilities, and more – will open. FirstHealth, the private North Carolina nonprofit healthcare system, is relocating one of its clinics to a 4,849-square-foot space in Northwood Landing and bringing its specialized medical services to locals.

This area will also be home to the 312-unit apartment, garden-style community of Medley at Northwood Landing – with its first wave of apartments available for occupancy this summer. The development will feature dynamic amenities, functional features, and one, two, and three-bedroom open-concept floor plans. Because of its walkability, proximity to downtown Pittsboro, and centrality to Lowes Food shopping center, Medley at Northwood Landing will contribute to the livability efforts of Pittsboro.

Garman Homes’s newest single-family product began selling on January 10th. These designs offer innovative floorplans and the signature Garman craftsmanship and collaborative approach that sets the builder a step above. We are thrilled to have their growing presence in Vineyards at Chatham Park!

Beyond 2024
That’s not all! While this year promises significant growth, there is still much to anticipate in the coming years. As a continued investment in creating a community that emphasizes on wellness and healthy balance, the Chatham Park YMCA will open in the first quarter of 2025. The 34,000-square-foot facility will feature a state-of-the-art wellness center, group exercise studios, an outdoor pool, indoor and open-air gymnasiums, and more.

At the end of 2023, UNC Health acquired a 43-acre parcel within Chatham Park as part of their commitment to provide cutting-edge medical services to the residents of Chatham County and beyond. This parcel will be able to accommodate up to 700,000-square-feet of medical care facilities and complement existing UNC Health facilities in Chatham Park and the UNC Health Chatham Hospital in Siler City. This partnership between UNC Health and Preston Development Company will not only contribute to our vibrant, inclusive community, but also enhance the quality of life that is so vital to Pittsboro as a whole.

As plans develop for future neighborhoods, apartments, town centers, healthcare options, and more, we know that this is only the beginning of the incredible growth yet to come. We are looking forward to seeing all that Chatham Park and Pittsboro accomplish in 2024 – and beyond – In Pursuit of a Life Well Lived!
