Join The Chatham Chamber, in partnership with the Chatham County Affordable Housing Department and the Chatham Housing Collective, for a collaborative Fishbowl Conversation exploring the current state and future of safe, stable housing in our community.
This interactive discussion is a special breakout from the 2025 State of Chatham Breakfast and Data Briefing, created in response to one clear takeaway – there’s more to learn and more to do. Our local business leaders, government partners, and nonprofit experts bring an incredible depth of experience and perspective to this conversation, and we want to make room for it.
This meeting will also serve as the quarterly gathering for all Chatham Housing Collective (CHC) members.
A fishbowl is a facilitated discussion format that brings a small group of speakers into the “center of the bowl” to share insights and stories while the audience listens and observes. To begin the conversation, we’ll hear from several local leaders shaping the housing landscape in Chatham County:

Daisy Butzer, MPH, Impact Manager, United Way of Chatham County
Rebecca Sommer-Peterson, Service Center Director, The Salvation Army
(Additional speakers and contributors to be announced.)
Together, we’ll explore:
